Rav Hamnuna Saba the Amora

Rav Hamnuna Saba was Second and Third generation Amora and a student of Rav. He was well liked by his teacher who called him 'my son'. Rav Hamnuna Saba gave over many of Rav's teaching as where ever it says 'Amri Bi Rav' - the 'Beis Medrash of Rav said' it is a reference to Rav Hamnuna Saba.
