Safed’s Palacio Domain is a luxury hotel located in a 12th century building, built when the Mamelukes ruled the region after defeating the Crusaders. The renovated Palacio Domain lodgings, a combination of guesthouse, spa, boutique hotel and palace, was restored with the goal of creating a luxury setting for guests who want to enjoy their Tzfat stay in comfort and style.

At the Palacio Domain each room has its own character and charm. The seven rooms include the Presidential Suite, the Penthouse, the Grand, the Palacio, the Queen, the Executive, the Honeymoon and the Romantic. Rooms are furnished with period antiques as well as small fridges, flat screens and DVDs. Some rooms have jacuzzis while others have fireplaces. The room sizes differ and each room has its own spectacular view, with some rooms looking out onto the Meron mountain range while others allow guests to enjoy scenes of the ancient Old Jewish Quarter or the galleries of the Artists Quarter.

Palacio Domain guests are invited to book their choice of spa treatments at the on-site Palacio spa where visitors can select from among a wide range of massages and other relaxing treatments. Guests can use the dry sauna or enjoy sitting in the outdoor lounge area and terrace garden. Available treatments include Swedish massage, aromatic massage, reflexology massage, hot stones treatment, shiatsu massage or deep tissue massage.

The Palacio serves a full buffet breakfast each morning and opens the restaurant to groups for special evening events. A bar is open to hotel guests in the evenings. The Palacio’s restaurant does not hold kashruth certification.

The Palacio Domain accepts reservations for couples and families with children above the age of twelve. The hotel management requests that visitors refrain from smoking in the hotel.
