'''Rabbi Yochanan ben Broka''' was a third generation Tana, a student of [[Rabbi Yehoshua ben Chananya]] and a friend of Rabbi Elazar bar Chamsah. He is mentioned a few times in the Mishna and more often in various Brisos. Rebbe Yochanan ben Broka had a son Rebbe Yishmoel. He lived long and is found arguing with a number of fourth generation Tanaim including [[Rebbe-Meir-Baal-Haness|Rebbe Meir]], Rebbe Shimon, [[Rabbi Yehuda bar Ilai|Rebbe Yehuda]] and Rebbe Yossi.

==Student of Rebbe Yehoshua==
Rabbi Yochanan ben Baroka and Rabbi Elazar Chasma, went to visit their teacher [[Rabbi Yehoshua ben Chananya]] in Peki'in. When he asked they if any teachings had been innovated in the Beit Medrash they declined to speak, saying there were his students and drink his water. When he pushed them they repeated the lesson given over by [[Rabbi Eleazar ben Azariah|Rabbi Elazar ben Azariah]].

==Kever Rabbi Yochanan ben Baroka==
Rabbi Chaim Vital describes the location of Kever Rabbi Yochanan ben Baroka around the Ein Zetim area. For many years the exact location was forgotten. Recently Yisroel Meir Gabbai and his organization Ohali Tzadikim built a Tzion in the vicinity of Kever [[Rabbi-Yosi-Saragosi|Rabbi Yossi Saragosi]], saying that based on their research, this was its rough location. Someone must have found this controversial since the original Tzion was broken down. A smaller Tzion was rebuilt in its place.
