Reb Shimshon Barsky was a descendent of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov and the author of Likutey Eitzos. He was one of the leading Breslov Chasidim in Uman before the Communists took over the country. He passed away on Rosh Chodesh Sivan, 1935.

Reb Shimshon Barsky is buried in the newer Jewish cemetery of Uman. Unfortunately the entire cemetery was razed during the period of WWII and the following communist regime.
