Meaning:
Father to a portion from G-D.
Description:
A Tana who was known for his ability to pray for rain and be answered.

Rabbi Natan HaBavli fourth generation Tana from the family of the Resh Galusa in Bavel. He immigrated to Eretz Yisroel and became one of the Sages of Usha. He was later appointed as Av Bais Din under the Nassi Rabban Shimon ben Gamliel and Rabbi Meir serving as the Chacham. He is credited with having authored 'Avot d'Rabbi Natan'.

Rabbi Nason HaBavli is buried right bellow the highway running from the second entrance of Tzfat to the Ain Zetim intersection
