The '''Kotel Maaravi''' is the remaining Western Wall of the [[Har Habayis]]. It is located at the edge of the Jewish Quarter of Old City Jerusalem. In this location the Shichina resides during the time of exile. Each day this holy location is visited by 10,000's of visitors many who pray for salvation.

==Survival==
Although [[Dovid HaMelech]] was not permitted to build the Beis Hamikdash himself, he did take an active part in the preparation of the Western Wall of Har Habayis. Therefore in his merit no nation or enemy succeeded in destroying it throughout the ages.

==Aliyah LaRegel==
Now that there is no Beis Hamikdash, many fulfil the commandment of Aliyah Laregel by visiting the Kotel during the three festivals of Pesach, Shevuos, and Sukkos.
