Term for general Jewish meditation but generaly used for the methods used by the Breslov Hasidim. In hisbodedus one secludes himself from other people and then talks to Hashem as if he was a friend standing near him. An hour a day is the recomended time aloted to hisbodedute by Rebbe Nachman of Breslev.
Better if done in the woods, Rabbi Yisroel Ber Odesser said "either the woods, or lust"
