There are a wide range of window grilles which can be installed within windows of any style, size or shape. Grilles are available for both operating windows and non operating windows. Grilles offer a decorative enhancement but can also function as a security element to prevent break-ins through the panes. When grilles are used as a security feature steel grilles are installed within the panes of a multi-pane window. When grilles are included as a decorative feature they can be installed within the window panes or clipped onto the inside of a window's sash using pre-installed insert holes that exist within the sash's frame.
