Line 1: Line 1:
Dormer windows are integrated into a dormer structure. A dormer window has its own roof that juts out from the larger roof and the dormer window sits below the extended roof. Dormer windows create a focal point of a dormer roof which protrudes from the plane of the larger sloping roof surface. Dormer windows are generally small and occupy less than a half of the roof space as they incorporate the features of the dormer structure. Dormer windows may include sliders, double hung windows  or casement windows. They provide venting for the dormer structure.
