Beis Shammai

Beis Shammai were the students of the academy founded by [[Shammai the Elder]]. They often argued with Beis Hillel, the students of [[Hillel the Elder]], generally taking the more stringent approach.

==Kever Beis Shammai==
A number of the Sages of Beis Shammai are buried in a Cave on the Churbat Shama mountain across from Meron. The cave is located halfway up the mountain. On top of the mountain is the Kever of  [[Shammai the Elder]].
